Controlled Chaos

Controlled Chaos took a little over 24 hours to finish.

The only time I use the computer is during design phase, to draw it out by hand on a tablet. Once the design is completed, it is sized to the piece of wood and printed to paper. Here's where it get's really old school: Tracing the entire design over carbon paper to complete the transfer. Now the fun can begin! Burning takes the most time, as it is done by hand. Upon completion of the burn, the wood is then sealed with several coats of polycrylic.

This particular piece is an 18" wood round that is a combination of Spruce, Pine and Fir.
There is a heavy duty hook on the back for hanging, however that hook could be removed and the piece could be used as a table-top as well.
